Documentation and research is based on drawing research methodologies from diverse disciplines. We learn from disciplines like development studies, labor studies, anthropology/ culture studies, urban studies, studies from humanities, feminist critique of methodologies and specific research methodology texts.  We understand research method not necessarily only as a stand alone pedagogy of using specific tools or mix of tools but rather as an approach to learn by using research methods drawn from diverse disciplinary engagements.. This approach, we believe, opens up different ways of building stronger links of sharing and learning between academic and practitioner world of work, perspectives and practices.
